Prescott Alternative Transportation 

Prescott Alternative Transportation (P.A.T.) was organized in 1997 as a supporting, non-profit organization to the City of Prescott's Bicycle Advisory Committee. We will work closely with the City, as well as Yavapai County to make the Prescott area bicycle and pedestrian friendly. International programs for the promotion of alternative transportation are also on our agenda

We have a new office at 710A White Spar Road in Prescott where anyone can stop by during business hours to check on the latest news involving alternative transportation in Prescott. We will be forming volunteer crews to help with roadside improvements, education, and many other needed tasks.

Our newsletter is a valuable tool for enhancing communication on the issues of alternative transportation in Prescott.

Goals:

• To help the City of Prescott develop the means to include bicycles and alternative forms of transportation in the City's plans.
• To educate both bicyclists and motorists to safely use bicycle facilities and to share the roads of Prescott.
• To continue efforts for years to come with maintenence crews and continued research and development to help Prescott become a friendly town for all types of transportation.

Volunteer Projects: All members will be encouraged to participate in volunteer projects. These will include:

• Roadside improvements
• Education and safety workshops for the public
• Maintenance of paths, trails, bike lanes, and sidewalks
• Office help
• Bicycle safety and education publications
• Research for funding, liability, and implementation
• Development of routes and maps

We would appreciate any financial help, since the start up costs have been enormous. Any amount, small or large would be gratefully recieved!

Prescott Alternative Transportation is recognized by the I.R.S. as a Non Profit Corporation with 501(c)(3) Status, and all donations are tax deductible.

Membership includes our quarterly newsletter as well as updates and the opportunity to volunteer.

Annual membership rates are:

• $20 regular membership
• $35 family
• $100 benefactor or organizaton
