V11 Le Mans Tenni
Wings of Fire

The Italian Omobono Tenni was a great pilot, an invincible champion, and also one of the symbols of Moto Guzziís history and philosophy. Even as a young  man Tenni was passionate about engines. He spent many hours dismantling and rebuilding them, ever dirty with grease, never noticing the passing of time.
His enthusiasm for engines was second only to his talent for riding. His first victory was achieved in 1924, when the young pilot was not yet 20 years old. It marked the beginning of a formidable career, highlighted by lengthy series of successes. Riding a Moto Guzzi beginning in 1933, he soon was winning everywhere on Italian racetracks and then all over Europe.  In England Tenni became the first Italian to triumph in the Tourist Trophy. Black Devil, Red Bullet, Fire-winged Centaur, Death Defying ManÖOmobono kept on racing and winning and firing up the fantasy of a people who embraced him as a Champion and a real man. He was larger than life even in the simplicity of his everyday attitude, exemplified by the famous understated telegram that he traditionally would send to his wife after each victory: "Arrived First, Kisses, Tenni".
With deep Italian roots, a boundless enthusiasm, and unlimited passion for engines, with a huge talent and genuine simplicity,  the Man and the Champion Omobono Tenni expresses the entire Moto Guzzi philosophy. For this reason, this special edition of the ultimate Guzzi sport model bears his name. It embodies a remembrance of an enthusiastic past, revitalized by technology.
Also traditional is the green color scheme, a reference to the mythical  and several-times world champion eight-cylinder Guzzi 350. Despite tradition, we could not leave out high-tech elements, like a lightweight clutch, "sweeter" and sensitive on the lever, and the titanium Marzocchi front fork, with a perfectly smooth surface that softens the action of the suspension. Another change, one that todayís riders will appreciate, is the suede saddle which is very comfortable even for two. The decidedly sporting soul of the V11 Le Mans Tenni has many other advantages, but those you will need to discover for yourself, in time, while enjoying it.
We only have one regret : not to be able to see the unique "Bonomin" riding a brand new V11 Le Mans bearing his name.
